Preschool Head Teacher
Position Summary:
Our campus has an opening for a Preschool Head Teacher. This position provides a student centered, supportive classroom that promotes compassion and tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Required:
- Associates from an accredited college or university (required) in related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Bachelor’s degree in early education preferred.
- CDA or equivalent (required.)
- Classroom experience (highly recommended.)
- Meeting or working towards state licensing qualifications for head teacher.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching children in a preschool setting.
- Proven ability to work effectively and professionally with adult staff, parents, and children.
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Current CDA or 12 credits in early childhood education or child development from an acceptable institution AND 1080 hours of supervised experience over a nine-month period including working with children in a legally operating childcare program which serves infants/toddlers and/or preschoolers preferred.
- The ideal candidate is outgoing, well organized, competent in basic computer skills, and is an individual who is eager to work in a highly dynamic, energetic school setting.

Position description:
